Update of March 17 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 978,107 after additional 22 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on March 17, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 961,781 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.3% along with 220 latest recovered. There are 4,376 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 1,654 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on March 17, 1% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 17.8% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 11,950. On March 17, 3,093 people were tested through the antigen process among which 26 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 140,022 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. Till March 17, 18,678,409 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
