Update of June 30 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 638,805 after additional 1,889 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on June 30, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 596,132 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 93.3% along with the 3,597 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 7,187 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on June 30, 26% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19.1% people diagnosed positive till now. On June 30, 242 people below the age of 20 were diagnosed positive for COVID-19.
Till now, the death toll has reached 9,112 According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 41 people died on June 30. There are 33,561 in isolation.
According to Dhading representative, Sitaram Adhikari, the prohibitory order has been extended for a week from June 30 due to the ongoing risk of COVID-19 in the district. The arrangement has been made to operate the public vehicles in the odd and even system so as not to exceed the sanctioned seat capacity so as to maintain physical distance while fully complying with the health and safety protocol.
According to Tanahu representative Prakash Chandra Bhattarai, the prohibition order issued in the district has been extended till July 8, 2021. Chief District Officer Sagar Acharya informed that the period of prohibitory order has been extended due to the ongoing risk of COVID-19.
According to Syangja representative Tilkumari Thapa, the period of prohibitory order has been extended in the district till July 8, 2021. The District Administration Office, Syangja, has issued a notice on June 30 stating that the period of prohibitory order has been extended due to the ongoing risk of COVID-19.
According to Dang Representative Jayanarayan Pun, a meeting of the District Covid-19 Crisis Management Centre held on June 29 decided to extend the prohibition order from June 30 to July 6, said Chief District Officer Ram Bahadur Kurumbang.
According to Gulmi representative Toplal Aryal, a meeting of the District Covid-19 Crisis Management Committee held on June 29 added a prohibition order from June 30 to July 6. In the last week 250 new cases were diagnosed therefore the prohibitory order has been tightened to reduce the risk.
