Update of June 29 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 636,916 after additional 1,728 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on June 29, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 592,535 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 93% along with the 4,348 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 7,259 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on June 29, 24% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19.1% people diagnosed positive till now. On June 29, 168 people below the age of 19 were diagnosed positive for COVID-19.
Till now, the death toll has reached 9,071. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 20 people died on June 29. There are 45,310 in isolation.
In Province 1,
According to Solukhumbu representative Bhoj Raj Karki, the prohibitory period has been extended in the district till July 5, 2021. A meeting of the District Level COVID Crisis Management Centre held on June 28 decided to extend the period of prohibition, informed Chief District Officer Ganesh Bikram Shahi. During the period, grocery shops will be allowed to operate from 9 am.
In Bagmati Province,
According to Kathmandu representative Bimala Paudel, the prohibitory order has been eased from June 29 and has been extended for one more week. The Chief District Officers of the three districts of Kathmandu valley have decided to allow the public buses to operate following the odd-even rule, informed Chief District Officer Kali Prasad Parajuli.
According to Ramechhap representative Nawaraj Ghimire, the prohibitory order has been extended in the district till July 6, 2021. A meeting of the District Level COVID Crisis Management Centre held on June 28 decided to extend the period of prohibition. The meeting has banned the entry and exit of vehicles from the district. The public and private vehicles are allowed to operate following the odd-even number plate system, informed Chief District Officer Gaulochan Sainju.
According to Rasuwa representative Hemnath Khatiwada, the prohibitory period has been extended in the district till July 5, 2021 after the recommendation of the District Level COVID Crisis Management Centre.
According to Nuwakot representative Nawadeep Shrestha, the District Administration Office has extended the prohibitory order for the eighth time in the district. The prohibitory order has been extended for 10 more days till July 9, 2021. According to the data till June 29, there are 746 active cases in the district and 35 people have died in the district till date due to COVID-19.
In Gandaki Province,
According to Baglung representative Srijana Pant, the prohibitory order has been eased from June 29 and has been extended for one more week.
In Lumbini Province,
According to Arghakhanchi representative Narayan Bhushal, the prohibitory order has been extended in the district till July 6, 2021. Different shops and services will operate from 5am to 6pm following health protocol.
According to Nawalparasi West representative Narayan Parajuli, the District Level COVID Management Committee has extended the prohibitory order till July 5, 2021. During this period, shops and businesses will operate till 5pm and banks and financial Institutions will operate following the health protocol.
According to Banke representative Smriti Devkota, the prohibitory order has been extended in the district ill July 5, 2021. The public and private vehicles are allowed to operate following the odd-even rule. During this period, shops and businesses will operate till 5pm and banks and financial Institutions will operate following the health protocol.
According to Kailali representative Mainamoti Chaudhary, the prohibitory order has been extended till July 6, 2021. The banks and financial institutions will be operated following the health protocols. Shops and other businesses will operate from 6am to 6pm, private vehicles and public vehicles will function following the odd and even rule within the district. The meeting has banned gatherings, conferences, and parties, movie halls, clubbing and swimming.
