Update of July 5 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 646,376 after additional 1,745 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on July 5, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 611,429 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 94.6% along with the 2,552 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 7,491 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on July 5, 23% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19.1% people diagnosed positive till now. On July 5, 156 people below the age of 20 were diagnosed positive for COVID-19.
Till now, the death toll has reached 9,248. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 23 people died on July 5. There are 25,793 in isolation.
In Province 1,
According to Tehrathum representative, Bhagiswar Limbu, the prohibitory order has been extended in the district for a week. The prohibitory order was extended till July 15, 2021, after the increase in the cases of COVID-19 in the district. Till date, 497 females and 596 males have been infected by COVID-19 in the district.
According to Solukhumbu representative Bhoj Raj Karki, the prohibitory order has been extended for 10 days in the district. Meeting held in the chairmanship of Coordinator of the District COVID Crisis Management Centre and Chief District Officer Ganesh Bikram Shahi decided to extended the prohibition till July 15, 2021.
In Bagmati Province,
According to Dolakha representative, Uddhav Pokhrel, the prohibitory order has been extended in the district till July 15, 2021.
According to Rasuwa representative, Hemnath Khatiwada, due to the increase in the case of COVID-19, the prohibitory order will be continued for one more week. The prohibitory order has been extended till July 13, 2021.
In Lumbini Province,
According to District representative, Rabindra Pandey, the prohibitory order has been extended till July 15, 2021. According to Chief District Officer Bhusal, the meeting decided to operate public transport, operate shops and hotels in the coming days by following the health protocol.
In Sudur Paschim Province,
According to Baitadi representative, Nari Badu, the Dogadakedar rural municipality-7 Chadepani village has been sealed for a week after 19 people were diagnosed COVID-19 positive. The rural municipality has been sealed till July 11.
