Update of July 21 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 672,871 after additional 1,918 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on July 21, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 636,402 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 94.6% along with the 1,475 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 8,715 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on July 21, 22% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19.2% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 9,637. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 30 people died on July 21. There are 26,832 in isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Kaski, Rupandehi, and Kailali has more than 500 active cases.

According to Sunsari representative Jaya Krishna Yadav, the Land Revenue Office, Dharan, has been closed for a week after two employees were diagnosed with COVID-19. According to the Land Revenue Officer of the office, Ganesh Kumar Dhakal, it has been decided to close the office from July 22 to July 28.
