Update of July 18 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 667,109 after additional 1,223 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on July 18, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 632,074 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 94.7% along with the 1,667 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 6,628 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on July 18, 18.45% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19.2% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 9,550. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 23 people died on July 18. There are 25,482 in isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Kaski Rupandehi and Surkhet has more than 500 active cases.
