Update of July 13 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 658,778 after additional 1,639 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on July 13, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 623,105 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 94.5% along with the 2,078 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 7,058 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on July 13, 23% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19.2% people diagnosed positive till now. On July 13, 202 people below the age of 20 were diagnosed positive for COVID-19.
Till now, the death toll has reached 9,412. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 12 people died on July 13. There are 26,436 in isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Makwanpur and Kaski has more than 500 active cases.
