Update of January 30 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 950,441 after additional 3,049 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on January 30, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 854,707 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 89.9% along with 6,359 latest recovered. There are 83,999 active infected cases at present.

According to the Ministry, 9,910 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on January 30, 31% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.2% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,735. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 32 died on January 30. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Dhanusha, Saptari, Siraha, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Kavrepalanchowk, Kaski, Nawalparasi East, Tanahu, Banke, Rupandehi, Dang and Kailali have more than 500 active cases.

On January 30, 3,235 people were tested through the antigen process among which 491 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 126,935 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. According to the Ministry, 14,015,324 people have been fully vaccinated till January 30.
