Update of January 25 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 927,880 after additional 9,432 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on January 25, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 827,279 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 89.2% along with 3,040 latest recovered. There are 88,934 active infected cases at present.

According to the Ministry, 18,103 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on January 25, 52% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,667. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, eight died on January 25. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Dhanusha, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Kavrepalanchowk, Kaski, Nawalparasi East, Banke, Rupandehi and Kailali have more than 500 active cases.

On January 25, 7,806 people were tested through the antigen process among which 2,567 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 117,754 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. According to the Ministry, 13,106,726 people have been fully vaccinated till January 25.
