Update of January 14 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 845,501 after additional 4,204 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on January 14, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 815,653 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.9% along with 306 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 13,474 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on January 14, 31% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 17% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,613. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, three died on January 14. There are 18,235 people in isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur and Kaski have more than 500 active cases.

On January 14, 7,086 people were tested through the antigen process among which 883 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 100,108 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 11,869,974 people have been fully vaccinated till January 14.
