Update of January 13 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 841,297 after additional 2,922 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on January 13, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 815,347 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.9% along with 271 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 10,498 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on January 13, 28% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 16.9% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,610. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one died on January 13. There are 14,340 people in isolation. Morang, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur and Kaski have more than 500 active cases.

On January 13, 4,583 people were tested through the antigen process among which 631 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 99,225 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 11,691,393 people have been fully vaccinated till January 13.
