Update of January 11 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

 The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 835,927 after additional 1,981 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on January 11, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 814,798 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.5% along with 313 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 10,648 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on January 11, 19% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 16.9% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,607. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one died on January 11. There are 9,522 people in home isolation. Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur have more than 500 active cases.

On January 11, 4,385 people were tested through the antigen process among which 463 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 97,967 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 11,336,538 people have been fully vaccinated till January 11.
