Update of January 10 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 833,946 after additional 1,357 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on January 10, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 814,485 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.7% along with 255 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 8,965 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on January 10, 15% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 16.9% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 11,606. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, two died on January 10. There are 7,855 people in home isolation. Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur have more than 500 active cases.
On January 10, 2,464 people were tested through the antigen process among which 89 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 97,504 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 11,232,683 people have been fully vaccinated till January 10.
