Update of February 3 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 962,517 after additional 2,742 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on February 3, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 887,443 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 92.2% along with 7,555 latest recovered. There are 63,296 active infected cases at present.

According to the Ministry, 10,026 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on February 3, 27% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.3% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,778. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 14 died on February 3. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Dhanusha, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Kavrepalanchowk, Kaski, Nawalparasi East, Banke, Rupandehi and Kailali have more than 500 active cases.

On February 3, 2,579 people were tested through the antigen process among which 433 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 132,546 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. According to the Ministry, 14,927,898 people have been fully vaccinated till February 3.
