Update of February 25 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 976,670 after additional 158 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on February 25, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 955,458 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.8% along with 555 latest recovered. There are 9,280 active infected cases at present.

According to the Ministry, 5,452 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on February 25, 3% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.1% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,932. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one died on February 25. Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Kaski have more than 500 active cases.

On February 25, 3,176 people were tested through the antigen process among which 117 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 139,255 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. Till February 25, 17,306,642 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
