Update of February 24 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 976,512 after additional 151 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on February 24, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 954,903 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.8% along with 831 latest recovered. There are 9,678 active infected cases at present.

According to the Ministry, 5,508 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on February 24, 3% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.1% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,931. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one died on February 24. Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Kaski have more than 500 active cases.

On February 24, 2,235 people were tested through the antigen process among which 167 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 139,138 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. Till February 24, 17,235,938 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
