Update of February 22 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 976,105 after additional 299 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on February 22, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 953,430 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.7% along with 831 latest recovered. There are 11,982 active infected cases at present.

According to the Ministry, 6,604 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on February 22, 5% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.1% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,928. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, three died on February 22. There are 10,747 people in home isolation. Morang, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Kaski and Kailali have more than 500 active cases.

On February 22, 2,820 people were tested through the antigen process among which 177 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 138,915 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. Till February 22, 17,786,133 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
