Update of February 21 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 975,806 after additional 247 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on February 21, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 952,599 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.6% along with 1,205 latest recovered. There are 11,282 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 5,225 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on February 21, 5% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.1% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 11,925. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, four died on February 21. There are 25,680 people in home isolation. Morang, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Kaski and Kailali have more than 500 active cases.
On February 21, 2,915 people were tested through the antigen process among which 141 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 138,738 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. Till February 21, 18,497,689 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
