Update of February 18 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 975,132 after additional 275 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on February 18, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 948,784 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.3% along with 2,454 latest recovered. There are 14,435 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 5,133 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on February 18, 5% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.2% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 11,913. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, four died on February 18. There are 25,680 people in home isolation. Morang, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kaski and Kailali have more than 500 active cases.
On February 18, 3,958 people were tested through the antigen process among which 162 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 138,412 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. Till February 18, 16,909,626 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
