Update of February 15 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 272,840 after additional 122 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on February 15, 2020. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 269,204 of the total infected have recovered. On February 15, the rate of recovery reached 98.7% along with the 144 latest recovered. The ministry reported that 1,581 people are being treated. Out of which 621 are in home isolation, 59 are being treated in ICU, and 17 are being treated with the support of the ventilators. Till now, the death toll has reached 2,055. On February 16, According to the Ministry, 3,541 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. There aren’t any active cases in Bhojpur, Solukhumbu, Mustang, Rukum West, Mugu, and Achham while Kathmandu has more than 500 active cases.
