Update of February 15 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 974,034 after additional 498 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on February 15, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 942,737 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.8% along with 1,835 latest recovered. There are 19,400 active infected cases at present.

According to the Ministry, 4,256 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on February 15, 12% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.2% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,902. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, two died on February 15.

On February 15, 2,839 people were tested through the antigen process among which 182 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 137,859 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. According to the Ministry, 16,549,489 people have been fully vaccinated till February 15. Morang, Sunsari, Dhanusha, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Kaski, Banke, and Kailali have more than 500 active cases.
