Update of February 14 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 272,718 after additional 104 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on February 14, 2020. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 269,060 of the total infected have recovered. On February 14, the rate of recovery reached 98.7% along with the 131 latest recovered. The ministry reported that 1,604 people are being treated. Out of which 713 are in home isolation, 61 are being treated in ICU, and 15 are being treated with the support of the ventilators. Till now, the death toll has reached 2,054. On February 14, According to the Ministry, 3,501 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. There aren’t any active cases in Bhojpur, Solukhumbu, Mustang, Rukum West, Mugu, and Achham while Kathmandu has more than 500 active cases.
