Update of February 14 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 973,541 after additional 482 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on February 14, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 940,902 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.6% along with 2,319 latest recovered. There are 20,739 active infected cases at present.

According to the Ministry, 6,279 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on February 14, 8% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.2% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,900. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, four died on February 14.

On February 14, 2,417 people were tested through the antigen process among which 265 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 137,677 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. According to the Ministry, 16,525,155 people have been fully vaccinated till February 14. Morang, Sunsari, Dhanusha, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Kaski, Banke, and Kailali have more than 500 active cases.
