Update of February 12 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 272,557 after additional 127 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on February 12, 2020. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 268,796 of the total infected have recovered. On February 12, the rate of recovery reached 98.6% along with the 136 latest recovered. The ministry reported that 1,707 people are being treated. Out of which 703 are in home isolation, 62 are being treated in ICU, and 14 are being treated with the support of the ventilators. Till now, the death toll has reached 2,054. on February 12, According to the Ministry, 4,000 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. There aren’t any active cases in Bhojpur, Solukhumbu, Sankhusabha, Ilam, Mustang, Rukum West, Mugu and Achham while Kathmandu has more than 500 active cases.
