Update of February 12 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 972,632 after additional 491 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on February 12, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 934,648 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.1% along with 1,826 latest recovered. There are 26,102 active infected cases at present.

According to the Ministry, 4,260 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on February 12, 12% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.2% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,882. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, four died on February 12.

On February 12, 2,394 people were tested through the antigen process among which 345 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 137,318 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. According to the Ministry, 16,324,979 people have been fully vaccinated till February 12. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Dhanusha, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Kavrepalanchowk, Kaski, Banke, Rupandehi and Kailali have more than 500 active cases.
