Update of December 30 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 828,207 after additional 235 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on December 30, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 811,746 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98% along with 228 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 6,814 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on December 30, 3% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 17.1% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,590. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, two died on December 30. There are 4,871 people in home isolation. Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur have more than 500 active cases.

On December 30, 2,083 people were tested through the antigen process among which six were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 96,191 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 10,310,692 people have been fully vaccinated till December 30.
