Update of December 27 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 258,181 after additional 481 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on December 27, 2020. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 249,863 of the total infected have recovered. On December 27, the rate of recovery reached 96.8% along with the 731 latest recovered. The ministry reported that 6,493 people are being treated. Out of which 3,077 are in home isolation, 235 are being treated in ICU, and 53 are being treated with the support of the ventilators. Till now, the death toll has reached 1,825. According to the Ministry, 3,828 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. There aren’t any active cases in Mugu and west Rukum while Kathmandu has more than 500 active cases.
