Update of December 27 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 827,522 after additional 251 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on December 27, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 811,005 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98% along with 225 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 9,175 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on December 27, 3% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 17.2% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,586. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one died on December 27. There are 4,931 people in home isolation. Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur have more than 500 active cases.

On December 27, 1,729 people were tested through the antigen process among which 20 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 96,151 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 10,166,504 people have been fully vaccinated till December 27.
