Update of December 26 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 827,271 after additional 213 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on December 26, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 810,780 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98% along with 232 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 7,180 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on December 26, 3% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 17.2% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,585. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, two died on December 26. There are 4,903 people in home isolation. Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur have more than 500 active cases.

On December 26, 2,497 people were tested through the antigen process among which 11 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 96,131 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 9,996,380 people have been fully vaccinated till December 26.
