Update of December 25 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 827,057 after additional 157 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on December 25, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 810,497 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98% along with 232 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 4,283 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on December 25, 4% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 17.2% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,583. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one died on December 25. There are 4,978 people in home isolation. Kathmandu and Lalitpur have more than 500 active cases.

On December 25, 2,164 people were tested through the antigen process among which 10 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 96,125 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 9,985,568 people have been fully vaccinated till December 25.
