Update of December 14 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 824,764 after additional 229 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on December 14, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 807,516 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.9% along with 362 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 9,392 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on December 14, 2% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 17.4% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,559. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, two died on December 14. There are 5,669 people in home isolation. Kathmandu and Lalitpur have more than 500 active cases.

On December 14, 4,317 people were tested through the antigen process among which 35 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 95,845 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 9,365,915 people have been fully vaccinated till December 14.
