Update of December 13 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 824,535 after additional 313 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on December 13, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 807,154 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98% along with 376 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 10,416 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on December 13, 3% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 17.4% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,557. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, three died on December 13. There are 5,824 people in home isolation. Kathmandu and Lalitpur have more than 500 active cases.

On December 13, 2,820 people were tested through the antigen process among which 28 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 95,810 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 9,302,019 people have been fully vaccinated till December 13.
