Update of December 12 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 824,222 after additional 242 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on December 12, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 806,778 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.9% along with 339 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 6,268 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on December 12, 4% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 17.5% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 11,554. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one died on December 12. There are 5,890 people in home isolation. Kathmandu and Lalitpur have more than 500 active cases.
On December 12, 2,414 people were tested through the antigen process among which 12 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 95,782 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 9,264,456 people have been fully vaccinated till December 12.
