Update of December 11 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 823,980 after additional 194 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on December 11, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 806,544 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.9% along with 339 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 8,672 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on December 11, 3% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 17.5% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,553. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one died on December 11. There are 5,883 people in home isolation. Kathmandu and Lalitpur have more than 500 active cases.

On December 11, 3,506 people were tested through the antigen process among which 42 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 95,770 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 9,241,261 people have been fully vaccinated till December 11.
