Update of August 8 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people reached 990,625 after 498 additional new cases on August 8, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 972,967 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.2% along with the 473 latest recovered. There are 5,686 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 2,862 swabs were collected for PCR tests in the past 24 hours. Till now, the death toll has reached 11,972 According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one death was recorded. On August 8, 2,489 people were tested through the antigen process and 436 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 145,047 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. Till August 8, 20,636,844 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
According to Bhojpur representative Ganesh Bista, two schools in Temkemaiyung Rural Municipality have been closed after COVID-19 infection was diagnosed in them. Annapurna Baghdhan Randeepa Rai Secondary School and Changchang Basic School of Temkemaiyung Rural Municipality-3 have been closed.
