Update of August 5 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people reached 989,350 after 529 additional new cases on August 5, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 971,620 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.2% along with the 383 latest recovered. There are 5,760 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 2,941 swabs were collected for PCR tests in the past 24 hours. Till now, the death toll has reached 11,970 According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one death was recorded. On August 5, 3,550 people were tested through the antigen process and 334 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 144,175 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. Till August 5, 20,619,130 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
