Update of August 4 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people reached 988,821 after 494 additional new cases on August 4, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 971,250 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.2% along with the 324 latest recovered. There are 5,602 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 2,589 swabs were collected for PCR tests in the past 24 hours. Till now, the death toll has reached 11,969 According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one death was recorded. On August 4, 3,337 people were tested through the antigen process and 266 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 143,792 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. Till August 4, 20,619,130 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
