Update of August 30 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 761,124 after additional 1,902 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on August 30, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 714,520 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 93.9% along with 1,808 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 11,812 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on August 30, 16% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19.5% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 10,730. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 16 people died on August 30. There are 33,333 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Kavrepalanchok, Sindhupalchowk, Nuwakot, Nawalparasi East, Baglung, Kaski, Gorkha, Syangja, Tanahu, Dang, Rupandehi, and Surkhet have more than 500 active cases.

On August 30, 4,341 people were tested through the antigen process among which 393 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 83,364 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the ministry, 4,396,402 people have been fully vaccinated till August 30.
