Update of August 26 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people reached 996,605 after 163 additional new cases on August 26, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 980,663 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.4% along with the 418 latest recovered. There are 3,946 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 1,673 swabs were collected for PCR tests in the past 24 hours. Till now, the death toll has reached 11,999 According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one death was recorded. On August 26, 1,842 people were tested through the antigen process and 161 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 150,224 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. Till August 26, 21,288,179 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
