Update of August 25 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 752,863 after additional 1,862 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on August 25, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 703,964 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 93.5% along with 1,781 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 9,711 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on August 25, 19% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19.5% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 10,612. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 44 people died on August 25. There are 38,287 people in isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Kavrepalanchok, Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha, Nuwakot, Nawalparasi East, Baglung, Kaski, Gorkha, Syangja, Tanahu, Dang, Rupandehi, and Surkhet have more than 500 active cases.
On August 25, 5,579 people were tested through the antigen process among which 620 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 81,587 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the ministry, 3,909,941 people have been fully vaccinated till August 25.
According to Parbat representative Santosh Thapa, two wards of Kushma municipality have been completely sealed. Kushma Municipality-9, Katuwachowpari and Kushma Municipality-10, Pipaltari have been sealed from 12 noon of August 22 to 31. According to Sujan BK Amar, Ward Chairperson of Pipaltari, the PCR of 64 people were tested in the municipality on August 23 and 22 of them were diagnosed with COVID-19.
