Update of August 24 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people reached 996,231 after 242 additional new cases on August 24, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 979,938 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.4% along with the 164 latest recovered. There are 4,298 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 1,806 swabs were collected for PCR tests in the past 24 hours. Till now, the death toll has reached 11,995 According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one death was recorded. On August 24, 2,371 people were tested through the antigen process and 245 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 149,830 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. Till August 24, 21,273,459 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
