Update of August 22 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people reached 995,646 after 405 additional new cases on August 22, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 979,357 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.4% along with the 456 latest recovered. There are 4,296 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 3,381 swabs were collected for PCR tests in the past 24 hours. Till now, the death toll has reached 11,993 According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one death was recorded. On August 22, 3,262 people were tested through the antigen process and 256 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 149,294 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. Till August 22, 21,252,141 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
