Update of August 21 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people reached 995,241 after 202 additional new cases on August 21, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 978,901 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.4% along with the 479 latest recovered. There are 4,348 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 1,816 swabs were collected for PCR tests in the past 24 hours. Till now, the death toll has reached 11,992 According to the Ministry of Health and Population, no deaths were recorded. On August 21, 1,607 people were tested through the antigen process and 84 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 149,041 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. Till August 21, 21,230,639 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
