Update of August 20 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people reached 995,039 after 180 additional new cases on August 20, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 978,422 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.3% along with the 577 latest recovered. There are 4,625 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 1,670 swabs were collected for PCR tests in the past 24 hours. Till now, the death toll has reached 11,992 According to the Ministry of Health and Population, two deaths were recorded. On August 20, 2,667 people were tested through the antigen process and 119 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 148,957 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. Till August 20, 21,230,379 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
