Update of August 2 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people reached 987,737 after 509 additional new cases on August 2, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 970,635 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.3% along with the 299 latest recovered. There are 5,144 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 2,762 swabs were collected for PCR tests in the past 24 hours. Till now, the death toll has reached 11,968 According to the Ministry of Health and Population, no death was recorded. On August 2, 2,653 people were tested through the antigen process and 305 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 143,201 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. Till August 2, 20,592,416 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
