Update of August 1 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people reached 987,228 after 632 additional new cases on August 1, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 970,326 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.3% along with the 264 latest recovered. There are 4,934 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 3,685 swabs were collected for PCR tests in the past 24 hours. Till now, the death toll has reached 11,968 According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one death was recorded. On August 1, 2,224 people were tested through the antigen process and 263 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 143,896 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. Till August 1, 20,592,001 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
