Update of April 16 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 978,654 after additional six new cases were detected positive in Nepal on April 16, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 966,303 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.7% along with 44 latest recovered. There are 400 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 1,986 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Till now, the death toll has reached 11,951. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there were no deaths recorded. On April 16, 2,057 people were tested through the antigen process and three were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 140,161 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. Till April 16, 19,362,361 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
