Update of 13 July Regarding Corona Virus Infection

According to the recent reports, 60.7% of the corona patients have recovered in Nepal. The report of the Ministry of Health and Population informed that 10,294 people have been discharged after recovery. In Nepal, 16,945 people have been diagnosed with the disease. On 13 July 144 additional cases were diagnosed and 6,613 are being treated. Out of the infected ones, 38 have died and they belong to 24 different districts.

Provincial Reports,

In Gandaki Province, INSEC Gandaki Province has handed over health equipment to the ward chairperson of Pokhara metropolitan-32, Akkal Bahadur Karki.

According to the District Representative of Baglung, Srijana Pant, the locals of Galkot municipality-5 have padlocked the ward office. According to the locals, the municipality did not manage people returning from abroad properly. The have blamed the ward chairperson and other officers of neglecting the health of the locals.

In Sudur Paschim Province,

According to the District Representative of Baitadi, Nari Badu, INSEC Sudur Paschim Office has provided health equipment to the Patan municipal level’s human rights group on 13 July 2020. The human rights group’s chairperson Krishna Singh Mahar has handed over medical masks, soaps, disposable gloves, and sanitizers to the mayor and deputy mayor of Patan municipality, informed INSEC’s Program facilitator Nisha Bhatta.
