Update of 10 July Regarding Corona Virus Infection

In the past 24 hours, 118 new cases of corona have been diagnosed in the country. According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population Dr Jageshwor Gautam, till 26 July, 275,951 PCR have been taken. Till date, 8,011 have been recovered.

Provincial Reports

In Province 1, on 10 July 2020, additional four cases have been diagnosed. At present there are 708 infected people registered out of which 541 have been discharged.

According to District Representative of Morang, Netra Prasad Adhikari, INSEC distributed health equipment to Rangeli municipality. The equipment was handed over to support in minimizing corona virus infection.

In Bagmati Province, additional 28 cases in Kathmandu, 13 cases in Lalitpur, one in Bhaktapur and 10 in other districts were diagnosed on 10 July 2020. With this there are 770 cases registered in this province, out of them 273 have been discharged after recovery. Six people have died due to the disease.

In Gandaki, on 10 July 2020 additional 13 cases were diagnosed and with this, there are 1,162 people suffering from this disease. Out of the total infected, 633 have been discharged after recovery.

In Karnali Province,

According to the District Representative of Mugu, Jiwan Sejuwal, a mass complaint has been filed against the Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Accountant for disturbing the works and forcing the employees to give them three hundred thousand rupees from the crisis management fund.

In Suderu Paschim Province,

According to the District Representative of Kailali, Maina Moti Chaudhary, the people staying in the quarantine of Godawari municipality-9, National Secondary School, have a complaint of having a very terrible condition in the quarantine. These people have been here for the past 63 days and no tests have been taken to diagnose their health condition. There is no drinking water, proper food and electricity in this quarantine. A 27-year-old man had tested positive in his RDT but it has been 18 days now and his PCR has not been conducted.
