Unknown Assailants Vandalized Shree Secondary School in Phikkal

Shree Secondary School in Sumnamsuntale Chandibhanjayang, Phikkal Rural Municipality-2, was vandalized and robbed by unknown assailants on the night of August 8. Principal Tek Bahadur Thapa reported that school property were stolen during the night. The incident came to light when the school staff arrived at 9 a.m. on August 9. It was subsequently reported to the Ward Office, Rural Municipality, and Khangsang Police Station on the same day.

Shankar Bahadur Bhandari, Ward Chairperson of Phikkal Rural Municipality-2, stated that the assailants broke into the school’s administration office, damaging computers, laptops, and other valuables. The estimated damage is approximately Rs 25,00,000. Bhandari reported that the vandalizers damaged the smart boards in five classrooms, a TV, the computer lab, a projector, the science lab, the library, and the canteen. Principal Tek Bahadur Thapa added that four school laptops were also stolen.

SP Govindaraj Kafle of the District Police Office, Sindhuli informed that the police prepared a report on the incident after being notified by the school on the morning of August 9. Additionally, the investigation is currently underway.
